11th Oct 2005 Tango/04 Computing Group unveils Tango/04 Data Monitor, an auditing solution for the iSeries and other platforms that makes a realtime log of all changes to database records designated as sensitive and sends notifications to security officers when appropriate.
Data Monitor maintains an audit-trail database that records all insert, update, and delete operations performed on specific records in sensitive tables and uses the data to generate historical change reports on demand via an integrated reporting system. The monitoring and reporting capabilities comply with regulations that require data auditing, including Sarbanes-Oxley, the Basel II Agreement, HIPAA, and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's 21 CFR Part 11 regulation.
Data Monitor audits operations only on specified files and lets users configure the product for specific operations against specific fields in database records. The solution offers a range of custom reports for forensic analysis that can output information to e-mail recipients in Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF), HTML, RTF, and XML formats. Users can also schedule Data Monitor to run in batch mode and mask confidential information.
