EMCF (Netherlands): European Multilateral Clearing Facility N.V. (EMCF) is Europe’s largest cash equities clearing company and one of the top two Pan European Central Counterparty (CCP) clearing providers in Europe. EMCF is using Tango/04 solutions to monitor their critical business processes in order to ensure that all transactions with their counterparties are performed correctly and on time.

Albert-Jan Huizing is EMCF’s CIO and Head of Business Development and IT. He was hired by Fortis in 2006 to arrange EMCF’s service as Project Director. After its launch he was responsible for the rapid expansion in the number of markets supported—from 2 at the start in 2007 to 18 in 2010—as well as for the growth in the number of connected platforms. He is responsible for all IT aspects in EMCF, ranging from business support and software development to IT operations.
