Tango/04 Announces End of Support
for V4R5 and Previous Releases of IBM's OS/400 Operating System

Dear Tango/04 Customer,

We would like to inform you that on the 31st of December 2007 Tango/04 will terminate official support of V4R5 and earlier releases of IBM's OS/400 operating system. From that date, Tango/04 applications will support only OS/400 V5R1 and subsequent releases.

This announcement is only relevant if you have iSeries systems in your infrastructure.

Tango/04 solutions are constantly evolving to offer you the best up-to-date technology. To do so it is not technically possible for us to keep supporting old versions of IBM's OS/400 operating system, which even IBM no longer supports. In fact, IBM discontinued support of OS/400 V4R5 on 31 December 2002; of V5R1 on 30 September 2005; and of V5R2 on 30 April 2007.

If you have not yet upgraded your iSeries systems, we strongly recommend you upgrade to OS/400 V5R1 or a newer release. However, if you need to extend support for your systems running V4R5 or older OS/400 versions after 31 December 2007, support is available at an extra charge on your Tango/04 support contracts.
